AEOLUS4FUTURE - Efficient harvesting of the wind energy

Led by:  Luleå University of Technology (Peter Schaumann at Institute for Steel Construction)
Team:  Gonçalo Ferraz, Ana Glišić
Year:  2015
Date:  01-01-15
Funding:  EU - H2020
Duration:  1. Januar 2015 - 31. Dezember 2018

The project deals with a variety of wind energy research topics, such as

  • turbulence flow and turbulence modelling
  • hydro-aero-elastic interaction of offshore wind turbine structures
  • accurate assessment of characteristic loads on blades, converters, supporting structure and foundation
  • advanced structural analysis of high-rise towers
  • innovative new types of structures
  • reliability analysis and integrated design of offshore support structures
  • wind flow in build environment and wind energy harvesting
  • health monitoring of structures and condition monitoring of mechanical and electrical systems
  • advanced damage localization methods and integrated prognosis of the structural life time
