On Friday, August 11, 2023, the doctoral procedure of Dipl.-Ing. Sebastian Kelma was completed. The final phase of the doctoral process began with a half-hour doctoral lecture on the topic "Probabilistic design of support structures for offshore wind turbines by means of non-Gaussian spectral analysis". Afterwards, Mr. Kelma defended his thesis submitted for the doctorate in a one-hour doctoral interview.
At the end of the interview, the examination board consisting of Professors Schaumann (Institute of Steel Construction, LUH), Beer (Institute of Risk and Reliability, LUH) and Reuter (Institute of Wind Energy Systems, LUH) announced the successful passing of the candidate.
