Our institute was represented at the International Colloquium on Stability and Ductility of Steel Structures (SDSS) 2022 from 14-16 September in Aveiro, Portugal. Kai Betz presented a paper entitled "New test bed for corroded large size bolted connections under fatigue and pretension" on the ongoing European research project New Skin. Manuela Böhm presented a paper on "Imperfection sensitivity of large cylindrical shells under vacuum", which was developed in connection with the ProBucket research project. In three parallel sessions many contributions on the stability and ductility of steel structures were delivered and in the breaks there was an opportunity for exchange with international colleagues. With a boat trip through beautiful Aveiro and a conference banquet, a great social programme was also offered.
